Beneath the moon of ancient Balansiya

A new boat

Yes, I am joining the club of the cool kids: the blogging space!

I've been considering joining other platforms but Bearblog fits what I want to do: talk a little bit about TTRPGs, OSR stuff and adventures. And, to kick off my bear-journey I will share some of the stuff I have made and some ideas in my mind.

Projects

I started thinking about blogging in February. I launched a Spanish substack, but it din't really work out for me.

Tower Temple

Nova started this initiative and I decided I could contribute, drawing inspiration from the new tournament Dragonbane module.

I planned, read, and gathered information (Thanks Joseph R. Lewis), ending up with a rather large project (Google Docs Link) that I need to finish at some point. Although I tested it, it feels cumbersome and overloaded with rooms and items.

That Damned Bear

I had a break from the monster I created and I came up with a simple idea after some mapmaking, and turned it into a pamphlet adventure. It is a bit rough around the edges but it provides a map and a simple framework to run a short session about an immortality ritual.

Edit: I had not realized until just posting this but this pamphlet really fits the theme of today, am I right?

Random stuff

Although I am not a formally trained artist I enjoy drawing, and so I turned some of my drawings into creatures with stats for His Majesty the Worm and Cairn. I may even put them together in some sort of ye olde tome of creatures. In any case, some of those creatures can be found in my Bsky account.

Currently

I plan to continue with this blog, posting both light-hearted content and serious topics. It also would be good to write something about clerics!

On the other hand, I have some ideas for short modules, in particular for Mothership--something mixing the Haunting of Ypsilon-13, THERE IS A GOBLIN ON THE LOOSE IN ICARUS STATION and high dimensional geometries. Fun!

With all this, I hope to be consistent here, talking and writing about RPGs.

We will see how all of this evolves.
